Akisphere 2014
The Akisphere is one of the most coveted trophies on the Footbag Net tour. It is also one of the most difficult to win. The 2014 final offered very exciting play. California club Chaos’s PT Lovern and Jack Harris hit devastating smashes and had some great defensive play as well. On the other hand, the team of Luc Legault and Manu Bouchard managed to make far fewer mistakes. Montrealers have shown, once again, that unprovoked errors will sink you most of the time. Akisphere 2013
The complete matches of the doubles finals and the mixed doubles finals at the 2013 AKISPHERE, the annual Montreal Footbag net tournament with all the scores and lots of slow motion. This tournament preceded the 2013 World Footbag Championships also held in Montreal. You can see why François Depatie-Pelletier and Luc Legault went on to the finals at Worlds with their solid play at the Akisphère. Luc Legault also won the mixed doubles with Geneviève Bousquet and Gen had a great tournament the week later at the World Championships winning women’s singles and doubles.

This collection features the 3 complete games of the 2009 Akisphere footbag net doubles finals. The Akisphere is the name of the annual Montreal, Québec, Canada’s footbag net tournament. The opponents: PT Lovern and Manu Bouchard representing the Chaos footbag club facing Benjamin Rochon and François Depatie-Pelletier representing Aki Québec. The first game was very tight and won by the Aki Québec team. The second was also a fight but Chaos started to display their domination. In the third game Aki Québec’s players were exhausted from a tough road to the finals and they crumbled under Chaos’s pressure.
