This is a complete rendition of all the Footbag Net finals that were played in Copenhagen at the 36th World Footbag Championships from July 26th to August 1st. 2014 World Footbag Championships net finals
This album has all the finals of the net competitions at the 35th World Footbag Championships. The open doubles, open singles, mixed doubles, women singles and doubles matches from beginning to end with the scores added to each play + a clean intro with the pictures of the players and the club they represent and a lot of slow motion of the best moves. This tournament was held for the first time ever in France from July 27th to August 2nd 2014. A few historical moments were recorded: In the mixed doubles it was the first time that a team from Finland took the gold medal whereas a french team won the open doubles for the first time in footbag’s history also.

2012 World Championships Net Finals
Warsaw, Poland July 29-August 4, 2012 the best Footbag net players in the World collide. In this collection, which is basically like a virtual DVD you will see all the complete finals matches in the 5 net open categories. Singles, doubles, mixed doubles, women singles and doubles. You will see all the action with all the scores added and with a lot of slow motion replays. There is some real hot action in the Mixed doubles match withFrançois Depatie-Pelletier hitting some smokin’ spikes as well as Florian Götze. Speaking about Florian he was the first player in a decade to win the triple crown: Open singles, open doubles and mixed. The women singles match was tight too and women doubles was average but still these women kick ass. The complete collection of the 2011 IFPA World Footbag Championships Net Finals. All the games point by point with scores added and lots of slow motion. Especially awesome mixed doubles finals, the Open Doubles were pretty good too with very few unforced errors. The singles finals was pretty much one way but some noticeable actions. The women singles and doubles were filmed with a fixed camera so parts of the action are missing when the players are in the back of the court. 2010 World Footbag Championships
all the NET Finals
2010 was a vintage year in terms of quality of play in the men’s finals. Both the singles and doubles matches were sensational, the doubles being even better than any other match I’ve seen in my long career. The mixed doubles match was pretty good too, especially the second game. Women’s doubles was OK it could have been better but still these were the best teams of the moment. See the open doubles, open singles, mixed doubles, and women doubles matches from beginning to end with the scores added to each play + a clean intro with the pictures of the players and the club they represent as well as a lot of slow motion of the best moves. This tournament was played in Oakland, California as the World Championships returned to the US after two years in Europe. Historical moment: The first Open title by a player from Finland was recorded in the singles finals. * Note: The women singles finals was not played as one of the finalist had to leave early.

2009 World Footbag Championships – All the Net Finals Collection
WFC09 offered some very exciting play. The Montreal team dominated with 4 out of 5 open titles and Maude Landreville won the women’s triple crown: Singles, doubles and Mixed. This was the first time that the finals were streamed in real time.

The 2003 World Footbag Championships Net Collection
As I was playing for the Championship in doubles I didn’t film as much as usual. In fact a friend filmed while I was playing. This collection features 2 matches. The doubles semi finals #2 in which we, Manu Bouchard and I, faced John Leys and PT Lovern. This was viewed by some as the finals before the finals and it was an excellent match with great actions on both sides. As Manu and I won we faced another canadian team in the finals: Jake Leong and Andre Lemaire from Vancouver, BC. This tournament was a historical milestone for footbag as it was the first World Championships to be played in Europe. Prague was such a fun destination. Find out more in the clips. The 2009 Bembel Cup doubles finals album
2009 Franfurt, Germany, the prelude to the World Championships is called the Bembel Cup. A big bunch of footbag net players flock from all around Europe, the US and Canada to compete and sharpen their skills before the biggest contest of the year. In the finals my teammates from Montreal (Aki Québec) faced a german duo, Ulli Haase from Berlin and one of the local sensations Andreas Wolff. Luc Legault and Gilles Demers did put on a show. After loosing a long and gruesome first game they rallied to win games 2 and 3. The match is packed with action, great spikes, digs and nice sets. Check it out.
